All You Need to Know When Traveling to and From Birmingham International Airport By Linda Craik

Birmingham International Airport is the sixth busiest airport in the UK and handles more than 10 million passengers each year. He recently published a plan for development until 2030, with the first project as a major extension to the main runway to be completed in time for the 2012 London Olympics. You can fly to major cities of Europe Birmingham International, both scheduled and on charter flights, and also operates the airport for your flight connecting several major transportation hubs, including Heathrow and Manchester in the UK and Paris, Madrid and Zurich for the flight to the North United States.

Airport is located only 10km east of Birmingham in Solihull, about five minutes from Junction 6 of M42. This is easily accessible by car with close to a network request and direct links to the M6, M5, M40, M1 and M6 Toll Road. Birmingham Airport also has a large public transport communication links to the railway station, buses and coaches.

If you want to rent a car, there are six major car rental companies in the airport complex on the table Millennium Link road which connects the two terminals. If you choose to travel by taxi, so there are lots of Black Cabs in the official taxi rank directly outside the passenger terminal. Black Cabs to bring up to 5 people with the goods and the only company in the airport without the license to operate advance booking. Travel to Birmingham City will be subject to cost around 16GBP.

If you choose to take time from the airport for guests, clients or for themselves, or ask to meet and greet service, then there are a number of private transfer and transportation companies to choose at the airport or in the immediate vicinity,

You will need approximately 45 minutes from landing to arrival at the area where you will find a Spar shop if you need any major grocery. ATM cash machine is available from the bureau and the change is always open during flight times. If you are departing from Birmingham Airport, two checks in the area (with a total of 86 tables) in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 so make sure you know which of your flight leaves. For the second terminal check-in desks are on the ground floor of the main concourse and departure lounge are on the first floor. There are several shops, restaurants, cafes and bars in the area, but most of them are in the Departure Lounge after you through passport and security. Gallery Bar is a good place to sit and wait because it is very well seen on the runway.

Opposite the bus departs from Terminal 2 (Bus and Coach terminus) and have a very good coach and bus service from the airport to the local area with the operating National Express service to other parts of the country and the airport. Although there is no train station, located in the airport, railway station Birmingham International travel is only two minutes away by free shuttle (Air Link) service which runs every two minutes. From here there are connections to the National Exhibition of New Street Station and is located in central Birmingham.

There are several options for parking at Birmingham International Airport with a short stay, multi-floor, long stay and VIP parking. You can not book a short stay car park but you can order the other. Long stay car park in the farthest away but this is serviced by regular shuttle bus service will drop you and pick you up from the terminal building. This should also check the parking lot outside the airport as this can often be cheaper than parking in the complex.

If you have left something on the plane, then contact the airline or loss of property, but if you have lost luggage in transit then you will need to contact the ground handling agent contract by airlines. Left luggage facilities are also available at Birmingham Airport.
